Welcome to Way off Base

Introduction

"Way off Base is a humorous, surrealistic panel comic written primarily for baseball fans age 12 and over. Each cartoon features a visual gag that is seemingly unrelated to baseball, accompanied by a common baseball term that gives the visual an entirely new, baseball related meaning. Inspired by Gary Larson's "The Far Side," "Way off Base" provides a truly unique perspective of America's national pastime.

Overview
Several hundred concepts are currently being developed for "Way off Base" to ensure a long and successful production run. These concepts include both baseball related, and non-baseball related ideas. The beauty of the name "Way off Base" is that it applies not only to baseball, but to any topic under the sun. As we launch the cartoon, we would like to focus on the baseball aspect of the project, and eventually transition into other areas as our fan base expands. One option would be to publish the baseball related cartoons Monday through Saturday, and then print the non-baseball cartoons on Sundays.

Marketing
The initial marketing possibilities for "Way off Base" are as exciting as they are vast. There are literally dozens of baseball publications in existence today. Notables include Baseball Digest, Baseball Weekly, and ESPN baseball publications, to name just a few.

Other exciting opportunities for "Way off Base" include publication in the ballpark programs that are sold at every major league and minor league ballgame throughout America, ensuring brand placement directly with the audience, and into the very environment, for which the cartoon is written.

In addition, the brand could be merchandised in the form of baseball cards, calendars, mugs, t-shirts, games, and other collectibles at major league and minor league ballparks across America, as well as at national retail chains.

Mission
Our missioin is to share with the world our unique amalgamation of two of life's greatest joys: baseball and laughter. We hope you enjoy viewing the cartoons as much as we enjoy creating them.
